This Easter is very special for me. My youngest cousin Jean sent me a DVD that had home movies from 1958 to 1961. I sat and watched it and was totally overwhelmed. I saw myself as a 4 and 5 year old kid, movies of my mother when she was 25, my grandparents. It was the most wonderful gift I could have ever asked for and one that I will always cherish.

I bet you really had a great time watching yourself and others at such a young age. I would have been overwhelmed too!

I had a delayed reaction while watching the home movies, because I didn't realize that cute little 4 year old kid in the fru-fru dress and bow in her hair was me!!

Seeing my grandparents and Mom at such a young age was incredible and made me miss my Mom SOOO much (she died when I was 19 at the age of 44 from lung cancer).

The great thing is, is that I can give it to my daughter to watch.

Wow Donna, I didn't know that your mom died at such a young age, I'm so sorry. I bet it was so great getting to see her again (just the thought of it brings tears to my eyes). I dread the thought of ever loosing my mom.

What a touching gift. Money cannot buy that kind of gift, and it sounds as though you truly treasure it. How thoughtful of your cousin.
Enjoy watching your dvd--I'm sure it brings back soooo many memories.
