Has anyone here ever had a skunk, or had a friend with one? I would love to have a skunk when I'm older. I probaby won't get one, but It's something neat to consider having.
My cousin had one, she bought it from a breeder in the lower mainland for only $50. But she had to get the 9 week old one because the other one wasn'told enough to leaveyet, and she regretted it because it became aggressive and bit everyone. She had small children, so she had to give it up :(
But I still think they would make great pets if they were trained and socialized properly :)

I worked with a girl for a short time that has one she said that they are cleaner than her cat and easier to litter train.
Said they were wonderful pets.
I think they are adorable. It is probably one of those pets that I would love to have but never will either. :(

I know what you mean :( I don't think I'll be doing much traveling when I'm older, and I know you can't get a skunk around here...

I found these cute pics :)

I have not had a skunk as a pet, but we have featured three of them,

Callie (http://PetoftheDay.com/archive/2000/April/22.html) is one, got to PetoftheDay and do a search, and you'll find the others, too! ;)

I've never had one myself, but I've talked to people who have them and they told me that having a skunk was like having a cat/ferret hybrid! ^_^ Sounds like a lot of work, but very worth it if you have the time and energy!
