Hayley gets her stitches out today!

Today Hayley will be able to take that dreadful cone of her little head. She will be so happy. We usually take it off her and let her clean herself. It's very funny to see her with her front paw up like she is cleaning it but licking the cone! I am wondering how I am going to hold her for them to take the stitches out. She has almost removed one stitch. She can reach the bottom stitch with the cone on but she cannot stay in the position she has to get in for long. If she could stay in the position I'm sure it would have been out by now. Wow, time has gone by really quickly.

Me and Toby are hoping that little Haley will do fine!! She will be so happy I'm sure!!

Inka was also spayed about 1 month ago. My vet used stiches that don't have to be removed. This is so much easier, and less scary for the cat involved! She also did NOT wear a cone.:)

Hayley has her stitches out and the cone is off! Although the cone was replaced by a nice red collar. It looks great! She didn't like getting her stitches out. When we got home she would not come near me for about 3 hours. Anyway it is over.

I'll have to do this all over again with Mandy in July. I know what to expect but I will still be nervous about it.
