Anyone want to participate in a longest tail contest? :p



Lets see who has the longest tail. PM me your digital photo showing you measuring your kittys tail! Let me know the exact measurement as well, the kittys name.


If you have more than one cat, use the one with the longest tail. I will except up to 20 entries, which will be decided on by me and another PT person. The winner, third, second and first place will each recieve a beautiful plaque created in Photoshop. :D So let the contest begin!

My cats would love to participate!!

Maya: 27cm (=10,62 inches)
Inka : 31cm (=12,21 inches)
Lut: 0.................:p :p :p

Well I can't take a photo of me taking the length of Bastet's tail... She is too wiggly. Aby *sigh* ... So you will just have to believe me ...

Bastet - 32cm (without Question mark at top)
27cm (with Question Mark at top)

that is just a little over 12 inches - I think ...

This might help:

to convert cm --> inches: multiply by 0,3937
to convert inches --> cm: multiply by 2,540

I can't hold a camera and measuring tape and a cat all at the same time - but I did measure some tails!

Results:
Bo - 13 inches
Trixie - 9 inches
Jazz - 9 inches

I read somewhere that a cat's tail length is equal to the length of its back. That's true with my three - obviously, Bo is a big long boy!

Cloey's Tail is short, I couldn't measure very well because she kept moving but I got 10.3 inches.

Midnight's tail is very long. Once she comes around I will measure it.

As much as I'd like to send in a picture, it took 2 of us to just measure one. We picked Jasper because we think his is the longest. It is 15 inches!!!!

Oh My! :eek: That is VERY long lol. Which one is Jasper? I used to have an orange kitty named Jasper when I was younger. :) It's one of my favorite kitty names! :D

I just measured Midnight's tail. It is 13.5 inches long.

Toby's tail is 12 inches :) Not bad for a skinny little thing :D hehe
