what type of bird...?

I went to a gym today, and they had this really neat bird :D He looked like a small parrot, but he was grey...He had yellow eyes, and mimicked you....
I've seen them before, but I forget what they are called...

My immediate thought is an African Grey. If he was smaller than normal he may have been a Timneh African Grey. These are smaller then Congo's, and slightly darker colored.

He looks like that african grey bird, only with really yellow eyes, and no white on him, only grey, and no red tail.....can they be like that too? :confused:
