New Betta pics, new addition, and some bad news

First off:
New Addition~
We got a new addition to our fishy family! His name is Norm, and he is a Goldfish. He is orange with a big black spot on his head. He is now living in 'Betta Estates', the section where Kelsey used to live.
Now for the bad news~
Ocean got into Bubbles' section of the tank last night. By the time I saw, Ocean had aready bitten off half of Bubbles' tail. Thank God I came in at that time though, or one of them would have been dead or more seriously hurt. I put him in a small glass Betta container in my other tank. Then I put Ocean in a small bowl next to B.E. If he found a way out of his section once, I didn't want it to happen again. I checked everywhere in the tank. There was no possible way he could have gotten in. But he did, so I left a note for my dad (he comes home when I'm at school) to tell him to check out Bubbles and Ocean and see if they were okay. Fortunately, they will both be fine, if they are left alone and kept away from the other Bettas, because of the possible risk of them getting attacked again.

I'm not gunna post pics of Bubbles until he heals a little more. He's pretty banged up (tail-wise), and doesn't look like himself.

His tail should grow back in a matter of weeks. I had a similar mishap with my betta boy involving a decoration that wasn't very well secured in place, and he now has a full splendid tail again! Your new addition is quite handsome too!

One of the reasons I put Norm in the Betta tank (where Ocean & Kelsey both used to live) was because both Kelsey and Ocean got out of there. But Norm is too big to fit through the sides of the dividers, which I am guessing happened to Ocean. :)

Do they have a cover over the tank? Bettas do jump and they could jump into eachothers section. It would happen while I worked at Scamps a lot. We would find some of them dead on the floor. It was very sad.


I love your pictures. I actually took some pictures of my fish the other day....:) I really love the goldfish..I think they are SO CUTE!:D
