for phred (fire related)

Hey, Fred.
This question isn't animal related. I know you are a firefighter and I've been working on an arson transcript. They refer to an accelerant (sp?) being used. I was wondering if you knew the spelling of that. I can't find it in my dictionary and my computer has no suggestions. My co-worker's computer accepts the above spelling but my computer does not. I tried e-mailing you but it wouldn't send.

Looked in 3 dictionaries and couldn't find it in any one of them!

Spelling "accelerant" is correct per Merriam- Webster; see: http://www.britannica.com/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=accelerant

Thanks, Phred. I think the reason it didn't send is something that they did to the mainboard downstairs here at work. My dictionary is The American Heritage Dictionary that's been here since I started in 1992. Our county is pretty cheap. I never thought to look it up on the internet. Sometimes common sense escapes me.
