Someone at the office today asked me what to do for her sister whose dog died yesterday. She wanted to send her a card but didn't know where to buy one for animals. Any ideas? I told her that it would be a nice gesture to send a donation to her favorite Rescue Shelter in the dog's name and add a note in the card stating so. Any one have any other ideas on what to do for grieving parents?

Actually, I have seen Hallmark cards in a regular store for the death of a pet. The memorial donation is also a nice idea, and I would send her a copy of the Rainbow Bridge story, of course.

Hello MHMamma. There is a website that I have gone to to send e-sympathy cards to friends of mine that have lost pets. The URL is: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/
If you click on Enter, it will take you to a page with a bunch of different sections. Thre is a lot of good stuff to look at in these pages...especially for those who recently lost a pet. Scroll down until you see E-Sympathy cards. Or you can simply click: http://w-w-w.com/cgi-bin/rainbowsbridge/makegwform.pl to go directly to the e-card page.
