it seems like a lot of you guys in here have a lot of cats ... unfortunately (due to circumstances) I have only one kitty, but I hope to get another soon. So how many cats do you have??? :)

ScantyNebula,

I think your kitty would do well with another cat. A kitten is by far the best way to introduce a new one. I've always gotten kittens (not that I haven't taken adult cats in to try and introduce them). And kitten season is coming up SOON!!

Cats do get lonely and bored. The best thing you can do for your kitty is get him a companion.

You'll have to do it gradually. I can help you when you and Toby are ready.

ScantyNebula,

I believe the younger your cat is when you introduce a new kitten the better they adjust. Your Toby is around the same age as my Hayley and Hayley adjusted to having Mandy really fast. You can PM me if you have any questions about how Hayley and Mandy acted. I would love to see more pictures of Toby. Can you post more?

I have two indoor kitties (Emily and Tanner) and three porch kitties ("Mummy" an all white stray, "Midnight" a tiny all black stray, and "Kat" a great big old grey tabby).

If I had the room (and the $$$$) I would have many many more.;) ;)

I only have one :( She's always loved dogs and I've had a hard time getting her used to cats. She was really starting to bond to my last two fosters though :( I REALLY wanted to keep them but I couldn't because of the landlord. They gave me permission to foster but not KEEP. I am still so upset at lnot being able to keep those last two. Out of all the fosters I've had, those two definately would have been keepers.

Kitten season is approaching so I will be having more bottle baby fosters soon.

Just one Kelcee. She thinks she is a dog, and doesn't like other cats.

Six mostly- feral rescues. And holding! :D

Four dogs on the other end of the house. No, they do NOT meet. And my house isn't that big.

I have six....and they all melded together very well, some more easily than others. Sometimes I think it depends on how socialized your new one is, and your already one has been..

I had 2, but I'm still in the means of finding one of them :(

I wish I could get one of my grandma's cats, she alsways has such pretty ones. The most common type of kittens she gets are ones with siamese markings and blue eyes. she also gets lots of white with blue eyes and himilayan looking ones.

But Sara hates other cats. Even kittens. I wanted to keep this little white one with blue eyes, but Sara attacked him :(

Only three - would love more but 'he who thinks he's obeyed'(!!) said 'no more' - aw well!!
If you only have one, another would be such company and you'd get so much fun out of their playing!!
