I think everyone here has seen a picture of Carl, so I thought I'd post a picture of Pete. Pete is a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix that we found just wandering in the middle of the road in October '98. As you might be able to tell, something was wrong with his right eye.

We would've kept Pete if we hadn't just days before adopted our second dog, who was still going through that horrible adjusting period.

So, we took Pete to an all-breed rescue.

LabLover...You don't need a scanner or a digital camera to post your pics. Just go to CVS or Brooks or any photo shop to get your film developed. They offer you the option of having your film put onto a CD or posted on a photo web site that and you can see them on computer by pulling up the wide site on your computer and entering a code # they give you when you pick up your film. They keep your pics on the site for one month. From there you can download them easily onto your computer onto your C drive in a folder, like "MY PICS" for example. Then go to www.webshots.com (http://www.webshots.com) start a picture album and it's easy to upload (transfer) your pics from your computer to a photo album. After that, ask one of us how to post your pic here from webshots. It's very easy. NO EXCUSES now!!! We all want to see the Sadie Lady!!

Shai is so beautiful! There's a greyhound at the dog park who looks just like her, she was used as a breeder and she is SO pretty and as soft as a chinchilla. I really like that fawn color in greyhounds. It makes the females look so lady-like. Hi Beth. No, no leashes. I have a big back yard which is about 1/3 wooded area. The whole thing's about an acre. ALL FENCED!! Now, mind you. I'm lucky if I get a birthday present from my husband. But when it comes to the "kids" nothing is spared! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif I kind of like it that way! Cody is such a sweetie. Star always takes "center stage" and Cody lets her. She's so gentle. She was a rescue and had a very, very horrible start in life. She loves everyone one foot OFF the property. But EVERYONE entering her den is cause for suspicion! It takes a lot of introduction time before she feels comfortable with strangers at the house. Especially men!

I posted a message to you somewhere telling you how. When you drop off your film at CVS or any film processing place, just check the box on the envelope that says "Post on Internet." When your film is ready, they include an I.D. number that you enter onto a website address they give you. And presto, there's your whole roll of film to see and download onto your computer. After you download them, you can make a Webshots album and post them here. Please give it a try! I'm dying to see Sadie in her "shades" http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

You have some great dogs there!My two favorite breeds, German Shepherd and Husky. Wierd how some dogs can be so scared of thunderstorms and others coudn't care less. My dog is a rescue and he isnt the slightest bit scared of thunder but he wont go near the basement stairs even for a treat. I think that he might of fell down some stairs when he was a pup.

I absolutely love every single picture that is in here. It's awesome how we can post here. The Bassett that was posted is so cute with the droopy eyes. The pictures are so crisp and clear, I love all of them.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on my dogs. Logan, I had to laugh when you said about "couch potatoes". There are actually times I have to sit on the floor because they hogged up the couch. They look so peaceful sleeping there, I don't want to disturb them.
I have to say, we have a batch of great looking dogs (and cats) here!!

They are so sweet and loyal! Daisy's best friend is a Springer named Lucky who lives up the street. She is the sweetest little thing, and loves to go swimming in the pondy next to my house... especially after a bath!

Sandra, I know what you mean about the pain always being to fresh. My family dog was put down in 1995 and I still cry when I think of her at times.

Yes - both rescues, as is our third greyhound and our spitz mix. All of our greys were TERRIBLE runners - they were adopted out before they were even two years old! Paula will be three on July 31, and Buddy will be three on Sept. 13. (And Boo, our third grey, will be three on Nov. 22!)
