I asked my mom and she said to ask my dad. When I asked him, he said we'll look for one this weekend! I'm SO excited! :D Where do you think we should get it from? A shelter or pet store?

Oh and BTW, I want a baby bunny. Do you think I can get a youngster from a shelter?

I would advise saving a bunny from the shelter. :)

Ps. I love your caption with the bananas! LOL! Wonder why they all chose pet talk to protest. LOL

Before you get a bunny take amount to go read
www.rabbit.org
and this book:
House Rabbit Handbook; How to Live with an Urban Rabbit by Marinell Harriman

I always recommend you research vets in your area, make sure you know who you will take your bunny to before an emergency happens!

Baby bunnies are a LOT of work.... They are very much like a toddler..they are hyper, have a short attention span and almost impossible to litter train...they are pretty darn cute though. As a rabbit matures they learn that it isn't really cool to have pee in their food and will eventually litter train themselves...there are ways for you to help that process along.

I agree with Brie, go to www.rabbit.org and read up on bunnies first. They have diet requirements that surprise a lot of people and there is a LOT of misinformation about rabbits published in, oddly enough, rabbit care books.... And also as Brie says, you need to find a rabbit specialist vet BEFORE you need one. Bunnies are considered to be an exotic animal and many, many vets don't bother to take those classes. You NEVER want a non-rabbit vet to treat your bunny....what works for dogs and cats, can often kill a rabbit.

And finally, YES, adopt a rescued rabbit.....give one a second chance to have a happy life. I guarantee you will feel terrific for having saved a lost soul. There are many rabbit rescue organizations around and also check your Human Society shelter.... Unfortunately with Easter coming May, June and July will see a lot of rabbits being dumped...it happens every year by people who never realized what they were getting in to by having a bunny. Our bunny sanctuary just had 8 babies born if you are in Michigan... otherwise check petfinder.com
Good luck!
