Can someone tell me what *bump* means please. I've noticed it in some of the threads and don't know what it means.

I'm pretty sure it means, if a thread has gone back quite far, you can search for it, and bump it right back up to the front by making a reply ;) It doesn't work if you only edit.

Someone will *bump* a thread in order for it to come back to the top of the thread listings. It's just a way to make sure people see or are reminded of the thread.

But, after it's served it's purpose, (someone else has posted), the postee could then delete it:D :D
It's looks odd to see it in the middle of a page/thread.

** BUMP **
What means ~ BUMP...
With or wiffout the **stars**, big print and color...
Is a quick and dirty posting term that *Pushes* an older post
(one that hasn't been replied to in a while)
up to the *TOP* of the Board -
so more folks are going to see it and possibly reply.
Sort of like a reminder to:
"Hey - Take a look at this topic again!"
Yeah, but it could mean - "things that go BUMP in the night."
Such as kitties playing while you are trying so hard to sleep!

Some boards over use the term BUMP and then it becomes annoying, but on this site Ive never seen it used.

Some days ago Juni tried to jump on the kitchen counter and she fell like a bag with potatoes BUMP. Tung-likker had to be used in order to save the appearance.
