Edwina, what you read seems to bore you immensely - don't fall asleep there! Let your mom have her paper back! ;) I agree with Moff - go back and read the funnies! :D

Here's Fister reading the news - can you see how shocked he is? It's about a giraf needing exersize.

You know how kids will follow the line of text with their finger so they don't lose their place? Well, it looks like Edwina is doing that with her nose. She's trying so hard to concentrate on "real" news that she doesn't want to lose her place.

That's ok, Edwina, we'll love you whether you're up on the current news or just up on the current comics. And besides, you shouldn't be bothering your pretty little head with such things. Where's the fashion section - that's what our Lady Edwina should be reading. ;) :D

Once again Edwina is showing off her reading skills. Next she'll be learning how to read foreign languages. If she doesn't already. :)

Knowing how skilled our sophisticated Edwina is, she's no doubt fluent in Human English, Cat, AND Dog. What a gal!!!

not only salesman can do that ! I can too !!!!!
This was very handy when I was teaching in primary schools !! I could read the kids' paper without really having to turn around . They also even hardly noticed that "teacher-was-watching" them !! In fact , I can also write a word in the air , in both directions , and also upside down !! I don't know how I learned this , I just can !
Anyone can writeon a paper in both directions ? in mirror-style ??

:D :D :D

Lut, I'm impressed - although I can also read upside down quite easily. But writing backwards, NO WAY! :D

I guess it has to do with what side of your brain you use the most. ;) Artistic or intuitiv people are supposed to use the right half side more while rationel analytical people use the left half the most.

Barbara

The typesetters and printers can do that too -the old lead letters mirrored and upside down.
And I can. I have been jobbing at newpapers when I was a teenager (very long time ago):(

(At least my handwriting from right to left and mirrored looks much better as it would look when I used my left hand)

LOL! Yes I can read upside down too!! But mirror-image - no way!

Edwina , my love , dontworry about the trouble that those stupid humans are getting into. Just concentrate on the ads for the local Pet Food store and point out the bargains on the Cat treats like I do! Juke Joint Joseph.

Lady Edwina, Lens Crafters is having a buy one-get one free sale. You could order the newspaper in LARGE print to help. :D

Barbara

It is not nice how you talk to us "visually challenged" people!
If I have my nose 1 cm from the text, I can read it much bigger and better than most of you -and so does Edwina.
So without my glasses (-7 dioptries) I am the perfect person to get a sliver out of your finger;) :D

Barbara,

I'm just as visually challenged as you and Miss Edwina. I am far sighted. I can't see the hand in front of my face otherwise. They SAY once you hit 40 your eyes are the first thing to go. Go figure. I'll need a seeing eye cat by the time I'm 60. :D

Barbara, I can relate, though, mine are not quite as strong - but we can read in bed WITHOUT glasses, right!! :D ;)

I did just that the other day! ;)

Edwina, I hope you found some good adds for yummies! :D Now, you only need to persuade your mom to go and buy it - A PIECE OF CAKE!! :D

I think that Edwina was looking for the stock and mutual funds pages! Now THAT will depress her!

I vote for the funnies too!

Oh, Edwina, I believe you have a new admirer. I haven't shared your beautifu pictures with Butter because he isn't always a perfect gentleman. :o Now that would be an understatement!!

But he slipped in here this morning and saw your pictures. He says it matters not to him what you read, the news or the comics. If there is anything you don't like, he will gladly shred the paper for you so that you will no longer have to endure the bad news.

Admiring you from afar..........the bad Butter Boy.

I think Edwina is looking so carefully at the newspaper because she is looking for the personal ads to find a new boyfriend since she is available and spring is coming.;)
Does Butter have an ad listed?

Oh Oh, someone ought to start a WANT ADS thread. Edwina?? Butter?? Fister??

Too cute Edwina....reading about anything interesting? I for one, choose the comics over anything else. ;)

Logan....is Butter no longer our little Buttercup?

Logan
03-05-2003, 07:30 PM
I'm not sure what he is, Kelly, buttercup one minute, sour cream the next! He's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Multiple personalities for sure!!! LOL!!!

Butter says to tell Edwina he will do anything for her.......even if it isn't a long term relationship. This is our boy's first "crush" as far as I know!!!

As some of you may know, Edwina has been in seclusion for a while. During this time she has contemplated many things, life, specificaly her life and how she is spending it. She realized that, in chasing after love and adventure she has been neglecting her intellectual life.

And so she has entered a new phase ....reading current events instead of the funny papers and.....

Brushing up on her Spanish and Portugese. As some of you have noticed...her eyes are tired and sometimes she needs a little help.

She plans to study Danish, Flemish, German, and Southern next!

Barbara

I understand why she wants to study Danish, Flemish and German. But Spanish? I hope it is not for some more holidays in Puerto Vallarta!

Oh the memories you brought back, Lut!

I used to write personal notes to myself in morror writing when taking notes in (really dull) lectures. Once I was caught out by the person next too me who could mirror-read. Kind of embarrasing ... :o :p Started becoming more circumspect in my notes to myself after that.
