Yup. That's right...

Instead, Piper will be  neutered!!

During grooming sessions these past few weeks, I've uh... noticed a change in the rear end area. Welll.... tonight, low and behold, there is definitely a set of uh... 'family jewels.'

:o My don't I feel sooooooo foolish! lol :o

My personal philosophy:
Miz Sophie wasn't ready to give up the 'Princess of Parsley' title. :D
(I told you guys she was the jealous type! lol)

So here, in all his glory... I introduce to you....

Piper, the *Prince* of Parsley

I haven't been able to speak w/ the vet yet (and won't be until Monday) -- my question is-- would the late appearance of the "family jewels" have any consequence on the neuter? She errrr... *he* still has another month before the procedure can be done but... do you guys think this would cause the appointment date to be pushed back?

Has anyone been thru this before?

lol...oops....

well I don't think so.. I think it's actually a more simple proceedure to ahemmm "fix" male animals..less invasive and less dangerous...

at least I know it is for humans!!

ps... cute lil prince!!

*~ALL HAIL PRINCE PIPER!!~*

What a lovely surprise.... And Mizz. Sophie is still the reigning... PRINCESS OF PARSLEY

I don't really know but I would think the procedure would be more simple to neuter than spay.. at least it was for Tinky and Jupiter.. I guess the really dangerous part is the anasthesia (sp).

It's wise (or lucky) you chose a neutral name.

i think that this thread is very inappropiate given the sensitivity
of the topic.

(crosses legs)

i truly believe that if you were meant to have a 'neutered', 'fixed'
or some how 'genitally impaired' Piper, you would have been given a 'neutered', 'fixed', 'genitally impaired' Piper.

i protest this course of action as a crime against male bunnyhood.
and i protest the fact that the family jewels were groomed.

i think that Mr. Piper should maintain his original body parts and
that all his dates be 'chauffered' to prevent any unnecessary immoral activity. Please reconsider this thought of making him
a 'none-ny'- "none"=having none, "ny"= what is left after his
'bun' is taken away.

thank you for your consideration.

Ah, Richard, you are a boy, we know. Take heart, as bunnies are different than human boys. In factr, female rabbits, too, by the way, have different physiological problems if left unspayed.

Piper, unlike a human male, will be happier without his "jewels." With them, he will have a very strong drive to procreate (which will remain frustrated), will feel compelled to "mark" his territory by peeing various places, making his human unhappy, so he would feel bad, and be at risk for certain cancers.

I know you'll feel bad, Richard, but I promise he won't. And yes, Miss Hoppy got spayed when she was a young bunny.

 bunny porn on pet talk?!

Thanks, tikeya's mom but I pretty much knew what i was lookin' at. lol :o

For clarification purposes, the family jewels were not being groomed-- the belly 'n tail were!

Once Piper is fixed, I'm proud to report that he will no longer leave the lid up on the litterbox, watch sports, and thump/bite tires. Which is more than we can say for some... *cough, cough*Richard*cough,cough*....

Heh-heh-heh!!!! So reassuring to know I am not the ONLY one to get snookered, so to speak. You all know that Daisy is really a Mr. Daisy thanks to a mistake by my vet!!!!!!!

I had another bunny quite some time ago and her name was Suzie...she looked a lot like Thelmer. Within a week of getting her we were at the vet and the vet said oh, what a nice little girl you have here so I said fine, I'll name her Suzie. I made an appointment 12 weeks later to have her spayed. This was my first bunny and I was really nervous about the surgery.... I dropped her off at the vet first thing in the morning and drove in to work... By the time I got there, there was a message on my phone from the vet saying to please call. Well, I got panicky....omg, omg, omg!!! Then the doctor got on the phone and asked me if I remembered the Johnny Cash's song, A Boy Named Sue".................... LOL!!!!! :D So an "experienced" bunny vet has lead me astray (don't I wish) twice with mis-sexing a bunny!!! The vet I have now won't even try to determine the sex until the bunny is 16 weeks old! Smart, I'd say!
