This handsome little guy is Antare, my extremely shy foster dog. He has been making slow progress in the six months we've had him, but in the last week, he's made a huge leap. He has decided that I am not so scary after all and he lets me pet him now. He's been in harness twice and yesterday he figured out that I wanted him to run and pull!! He was a happy dog!!

He's a husky mix, but mainly husky!

He's gorgeous!

I'm so happy to hear he's making such progress. I couldn't imagine living in a home where an animal didn't like me. I'd be so sad. :(

Congrats on your work with him! I look forward to more pics. :D

Nebo looks so much like Muskwa did at that age--Nebo's a little darker red though! Beautiful!!

He's too small to be a malamute. He might weigh 50 pounds!! That's a malumute puppy size LOL

maybe it is a mal mix with sib ??? that could be possible.. it just has suck a malamut head it doent look siberian to me ..

Both his parents are husky mixes, but who knows with what. There could be malamute in him somewhere. Around here, he's considered an Alaskan Husky--any dog specifically bred to pull a sled. Antare was bred by a wanna be musher who thought he could bred his own team..
