In my social class which I really kind of like, we started talking about Native Americans who get money from the casinos for living on reservations, and about how most whites treated the Native Americans and the African Americans. Well somehow we got talking about the schools education and about who taught and got education back when America was first being discovered. Some students where complaining that certain minorities shouldn’t get paid or special credit and that everyone should be treated equal for better or for worse. My Social teacher, said that some of us where short minded and needed to open our eyes, and also take advantage of our education, otherwise we'll end up living on in Lynd . (Lynd is a small town about five miles from the city I live in, and I went to school in Lynd for 9 years, K-8th grade. I find that it is a small school with great teachers, and small classes so if you have troubles they have lots of time to help you.) He also said some very hurtful things about Lynd another small town. That made me feel really hurt knowing that he was talking bad about a town where I practically grew up in and love. The mayor's son is my friend and I know almost everyone in the town. After he decided to change subjects, I was about in tears and even had a few on my sleeve of my sweatshirt. (I don’t cry to easy)
**But anyway I was wondering If I should talk to him very politely, I know its just his opinion, but it was hurtful, and he was telling us to open up our minds, I know has my teacher and I have ALOT of respect for him, but it hurts even now when I think about it.
