View Full Version : I became Aunt last night!

Christian Xavier, born Feb. 20th, 6 pounds 7 oz, 20" long.

Here is my brother, the father, with his new son :)

He is just so beautiful and we are very proud of the mom...she went w/o any drugs! Actually, she was in hard labor and fully dialated before she even got into the hospital. She almost didn't make it there...he was born 1/2 hour after she arrived at the hospital!

I am so proud :) He's so beautiful :)

Leslie Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you and your family! What an exciting time for you all!! There is nothing quite like a baby!! Please tell your brother and sister-in-law that I applaude their choice of names! My one and only grandson is also named Christian! Your sister-in-law is quite a girl! I simply cannot imagine going natural! YIKES! :eek: :eek: :eek: {{hugs to you all!}}

Oh he's gorgeous - many congratulations to your sister and brother-in-law - lovely name too. Enjoy yourself being aunt to this lovely boy.

PS. I had both the girls 'naturally' - i.e. without drugs! :D

Congratulations, Leslie!!! I remember when my niece was born. She was the "first" and will be 18 on March 3!! I felt like Mom #2, and thankfully, she was close enough that we could go see her often. I know you and your family are so excited!!!! :D

Congratulations! A beautiful boy, and a proud dad and grinning aunt! What could be better! :) Glad for your sister-in-law that her labor was quick, but not so quick, and that she got to have him AT the hospital, not on the way!

Congratulations Leslie!! He's beautiful. The one great thing about having a nephew is you can spoil the heck outta them then send them home :D!! I know, I did this with mine. He's now 33 years old, drop dead handsome and married.

Wow! He is REALLY beautiful! Most newborns are quite ugly (to me anyway) but he is so perfectly formed. What a great head of hair!!

I'll be an aunt any day now (for the first time) as well and I can't wait!!

I'm gonna get a t-shirt for the little one that says "If you think I'm cute you outta see my auntie!"

Thank you so much everyone :) I am really thrilled. He is the first baby in my family, so you can bet he's going to be much loved. I saw him again tonight and he was actually awake. I had not seen his eyes open yesterday, but he was alert this evening. He's so good and quiet, I can't believe it. I still have not heard him cry yet, but my brother assured me that he is quite capable of crying :) He's so adorable and soft and sweet smelling. He's just precious :)

What a beautiful beautiful little baby! That pic you just posted is so adorable! I would just love to kiss that soft little baby face! I am sure he will be spoiled being the first little baby in your family! How happy I am for yall.... babies are such a blessing!:D

congratulations, to you and your family! that's just wonderful, a new baby! and he is absolutely adorable, so precious! it is great becoming an aunt the first time isn't it? I first became an aunt at only 11, my brother being 9 years older than me, and when my neice was born I said alright, a girl!! (too many boys in my family) later when I was older and became an aunt again, it is even better, and like moosmom said, you can spoil thenm and then send them home

and , did I tell you I especialy like this name : it is the name of my oldest brother who died before I was even born ... (remember the story "how my parents changed a sad X-mas into a happy one" !?
