Thanks so much everyone, you made me feel good! :) I can go to bed (its 11.15pm here) with a smile:D

Soledad, I used to really like Adam Ant (hence the pictures) went to see him a few times. I like the 80s musically too, Duran Duran, Ultravox, lots of that stuff, the new romantics they called it!:) And later on there was Prince I loved his stuff too, he was dynamite live, and U2 and......on and on it goes. But there again I like music from most eras and lots of types too. I will stop there I think before I start rambling too much!:D

Oh my ChrisH, you are terrific at this. I bet you could sell these on Ebay! Although I don't frequent the place, I suspect you could sell them. The drawings are great! Really!

Make a living at this - really!

Thank you all so much:)

slleipnir, no, I haven`t done any for a very long time.

I began drawing and painting at a, how can I describe it, lets just say a painful time in my life - my husband died, had to sell my home, money ran out - and it helped me so much. None of it comes easy or swiftly to me, it took/takes work and concentration, many a time I sat up well into the early hours to finish a piece. Anyway, I got work and somehow the painting and stuff tapered off. Later when I "retired" I did start again, at least did a few, but then I was called upon to take care of my youngest grandaughter during the day for 5 or so years, and that took up a lot of my time and concentration. No excuse for the last couple of years, though it is true that my eyesight has worsened and new eyeglasses are extremely expensive!:)

But you guys have re-awakened my interest and given me new heart, so we`ll see.:)

Thanks again:)

love Chris

What great work, Chris! You are SO talented!!!!:) I hope you find the time and motivation to give it a go again!! A talent like yours should be shared with the world!!:)

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. :( You're a strong woman and one to be admired.

WOW:eek:
well, I got to this thread late, but it was worth the "ppek" . Very talented. You should certainly keep drawing, at least a little. maybe Bob and Ebby would make good subjects.

Thanks everyone, so much:)
Jen, that is a good idea, trying to capture the look of Bob or Ebby could be the way to see if I can still `cut it` or not!:)

Anyway, thanks again everyone for the nice comments and encouragement, it means a lot to me.:)

Those are wonderful Chris!
I expecially love the ones of KISS, when I was younger I was "in love" with Paul Stanley:rolleyes:
And I thought Adam Ant was pretty hot too!
With all that talent, I'm sure you could still "cut it"!

Wow, they are really good. You have talent!!! My favorite is the first one with the owl.
My sister likes to draw and paint and she wanted to study, but she lost her courage just before the exams. Well, she channeled her talent on designing clothes and she's really good at that (although she studied journalism - very good at that too, and now she works for a GSM company, public relations). I have almost all my clothes from "The Designer". She really has to pay more attention to painting, but... time is never enough for everything you want to do.

WOW!!!!

Chris those are fantastic! Don't waste such a great talent - I can't draw to save my life and I'm so jealous of people who can. My fave., has to be Clint...............well just because it's Clint!! The Adam Ant one's are superb - you really 'caught' him so well. I'm just knocked out by them, maybe trying to catch Bob and Ebby would be the challenge to get you back painting again. I hope you do.

This is what usually happens: life gets between you and your talents (I could tell similar stories). But you definitely have to revive it. It is sooo good. I also like especially the Adam Ant paintings. Pet Talk is good for creativity. So do it.

Thank you V&J, RBlue and Jessica for those nice comments.

Thank you Anna, and as to Paul Stanley! Oh, yes! He was always my favourite:) Yet, when I went to see them in the early nineties, it was Gene who had me mesmorised(sp?) all through the show! As to why, I don`t know. None of the Kiss make-up then, perhaps it was all that black leather!:D

Thanks also to you, Lynne, I used to think I couldn`t draw or paint to save my life too, I just worked at it is all! Like I think I said before, it doesn`t come easy and takes time and concentration. I bet if you really gave it a try you, and everyone else who thinks they can`t, you all could do just as well as I. :)

Barbara, thank you too, and you are so right in what you say about life getting in the way!:)

Adam Ant. I really liked him, must have done, I went to see him 3 times within a few months! :D

Thanks again to you all. If I find I can do a drawing/painting that is even half decent I will be sure to post it here on Pet Talk.

Love
Chris

Those are SO good! There are soooo many good artists on this board, I wonder if it is a coincidence that artistic people are often compassionate and kind? And animal lovers?!!
