After losing Bear, I almost lost Justin. Justin lives with my parents (only 2 minutes from my house). Well, my mom calls me. Justin hasn't used the bathroom in a week!!! He was trying, poor thing, but it wasn't working. I called the vet. Ran to their office and got a you know what. Went back to my parents and we gave it to him, you know where. I went to work. The vet said that he should go in 2 hours if that was what was wrong. If he didn't, I needed to bring him in. Well, I called my mom from work, and he still had not gone. I was really getting worried. If he needed surgery, well, I wasn't sure if he could make it. He just had a problem with worms and is a little underweight. The next day mom calls, and he went!!!! My dad has put him on a senior dog food to try to keep it from happening again. The vet recommended putting stool softners in it every day to help too. But he sure had us scared there for a little while.

What a relief! Seems the scares just keep on coming here lately. After losing Bear, it must have been especially frighening for you. Poor Justin with his sensitive tummy. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif Hope the new food and softeners keep the little guy "all clear." Give Justin a big hug, OK?

I'm so happy Justin is okay. You've had your share of scares and hopefully there will be no more.

Justin is my ten year old Golden Ret. You can see a picture of him at my website: www.angelfire.com/al3/cherylsbabies (http://www.angelfire.com/al3/cherylsbabies)

I need to update it and put Salem on it.

Happy to hear that things turned out ok. That is a scare as dogs can't tell us whats wrong.
