my personal favourite rodent would be a rat, but i would be interested in knowing what others faves are :rolleyes:

I voted "other" because my favorite is a hamster. We had two of them, and the saddest part is their life span is so short. Every time, I was so broken hearted, we decided not to get another. :(

Errr...............I don't really like rodents, but I think guinea pigs are cute and hamsters are okay too, so I guess they're my favorite.

ahk i was trying to think of more rodents and totally forgot about the hamsters and guniea pigs lol (im such a ditz) thats y i put other, cuz i knew there were more that i couldnt think of lol....(this is coming from the person who goes to different pet stores every day blah) and u would think that i would think of hamsters or guinea pigs before chinchillas! phew i musta been on something that day...
I voted other cause I love Guinea Pigs;) I don't think my hubby would ever let me have a mouse or a rat:rolleyes:

rabbits are not rodents, but i should have made it a pocket pet poll so then i could have added bunnies...(its amazing how i think of these things later isnt it?lol)

i like ferrets and lizards too but they're not rodents. add those to the list too. ;) just joking

i love hamsters.... but mine just passed away yesterday. i dont think ill get another though because i get so attached and their life span is so short:(

Please don't let the facts of life (death) be a deterant in getting a new pet. It is a wonderful thing to love an animal KNOWING that they will pass on. They bring us joy and we (hopefully) give them happiness, too.

My favorite rodent would have to be the rat, because my friend/neighbor Katie (iceyshiver) has the cutest rat, named Meecie (sorry if I spelled it wrong Kate!) It's so tame and they walk it on a leash! Too cute!!:D

I can't do the voting function...my favorite rodents would be rats, gray and fox squirrels, beavers, woodchucks, pikas, lemmings,chipmunk, prairie dogs, 13-lined ground squirrels and capybaras (the world's largest rodent). I also think Kangaroos are very cute too!

That's because the Guinea Pig and Capybara are very closly related, closer than any other rodent.

Gerbils and hamsters cannot choose between them as I have 14 hamsters and 11 gerbils looking at me right now!!! (They are all rescues).

Um...how could you forget the number 1 (at least IMO) rat website of all time...a must have for all rat owners....Virgina's Rat Page!!?? It has just about everything you need to know...it is AWESOME!

Rabbits actually aren't rodents, they are leporids...It has to do with the number of molars or something...I can't remember...:)
