So what are the best things for shed control, or picking up hair? I ask, because my husband goes crazy over a little hair on the couch or in the car, and he cleans it all the time (he's a little compulsive:) ) I have a catalog that says that Vitacoat will help control it, as well as these wipes for the dogs. There is also this squeegy looking thing to pick up hair, and a "sponge". Just wondering if anyone has tried anything besides the lint roller and a dust buster--that's my current method--along with duct tape.

I have found with most of my furniture and the van - I use a small piece of fine grade sandpaper (that right!). Or a nail emery board - with the sandpaper I just fold it in half and just go in one direction. It won't "pick" up the hair but will pull it all together and you can pick it up. For me it works better than anything else. Check your material first so it won't snag it.

Sammi,

Thanks for your idea. I've used the lint roller & brushes in my
car without a lot of success. I'll try the fine grade sand paper.:D

In the house, hair is a "given", so I just dust & run the
sweeper.
