Wow! You're very creative. Those would make wonderful backgrounds! Good job.

BTW, hope you feel better soon. Is it a stomach flu? I just hate throwing up. It feels awful. :(

Gorgeous pics, KayAnn! I like the first one and the third one the best. The light hitting the water is beautiful. Have you learned about the "rule of thirds" in an art class? The rule of thirds works very well in those pics.

Hope you get feeling better soon!

p.s. find me some Simba pics to use for your cartoon drawing! :D

Hope your feeling better kid. I liked the one of your hand. I guess I get it from my family, hubby has a painting of a hand surrounded by eages . My moom has painted several of hands with white doves. I'm weird any way I notice hands first when I met people. I think they say a lot about a person.
You shpould do well a a photo journalist.

KFAMR-

I think your photography is quite good, especially for a youngin'. That means you have lots of time to perfect your art.

If you're really serious about wanting to become an artist, you should look into some art history. I would look at photographers like Man Ray, Edward Weston, Tina Modetti, Sally Mann and Anne Lebowitz in your local library.

I studied art history at university with a specialisation in photography, and I think it's an amazing art form which delves into really great issues.

You could also look into photojournalism.

Good luck and don't hesitate to PM me if you'd like to talk art.

Very good! I like them all, but I really like the one with your hand in the light, I love sunlight in pictures.

I would love to take up photography as a hobby, how did you get started KayAnn?

Where do you live, or where is the water in your pictures??? cuz it just makes me want to go to a beach or someplace other than cold Minnesota.

Icyshiver, Minnesota is the state of the lakes! With the thousands of lakes you have there, I don't think you should have a problem finding lakes to photgraph in the summer. ;)

BTW, did it snow there yet? It feels like spring here, even all the trees in our backyard are confused and are already starting to blossom. I have my window wide open and I'm still feeling warm. We're supposed to have the heater on in January. This winter's weird. I like cold winters better, even though we wouldn't have snow anyway, I still want a cold winter. We can't even see snow on the mountains this year. :( How sad.

I've always loved taking pictures... I've always been the one behind the camera.... The day i started going picture crazy, is when i got my digital. I took atleast 140 photos, in less then 30 minutes. I'm always bringing my digital places with me... and if i don't have it, i like make a frame with my fingers of the picture i would have love to take, lol yeah, i'm weird. I'm constanyl saying "Oh, I'd love to take a picture of Simba sitting there!" lol, ask my mom! And the reason i wanted my brother to get the house he has no is cause of the beautiful lake behind it, so i can take pictures!:D If you're interested in photography i say do it!

icey- I live in Florida, the water is my pool. It's waaaaaaaaay too cold to go swimming though.

Your photographs are lovely. I graduated from Mass College of Art, and work as an Art Director, so I can tell you that's a well-qualified opinion!

Make sure you always set your digital camera to the highest resolution mode, so that the photos you love can be used for print and whatever other application you may someday want them for!

Hope you feel better soon, you may have that virus - Norfolk? Norwalk? - that's been going around. I had it a few weeks before Christmas, and was miserable for a day or so, but then it went away, thankfully!
