THANKFULNESS: A PET OWNER'S LIST
by Shelly Guidotti

Be thankful that you have torn up tennis shoes -- for it means you have a
healthy, spirited puppy.

Be thankful when an entire roll of toilet paper is strewn across your
living room -- for it means your cat still has plenty of "catitude" knowing
"It can do whatever It wants, whenever It wants"!

Be thankful when your pet jumps up to greet you -- for it means they don't
have arthritis affecting their ability to be themselves.

Be thankful when your pet wakes you up in the middle of the night to "go"
outside -- for it means he/she still can, on their own.

Be thankful when your pet needs grooming -- for this makes you take some
quality time out for both of you.

Be thankful when it's time to pay the Vet for "booster" shots -- for it
means your pet has no other health problems.

Be thankful when your pet seems to cling to you when you go out the door --
for it means you have unconditional love waiting when you return.

Be thankful when you find the cat in the Christmas tree -- for it means
you're together for the holidays.

Be thankful for your Veterinarian and their Assistants -- for they
sacrifice daily to serve as the healers and carry the burden when it's time
to "let go".

Be thankful when your pet lays in your lap, because the day will come when
their memory is all you will have to hold onto.

I was very nice, made me think. I haven't been very thankful lately, this was a wake-up call. :)

I received this in an e-mail from a Pet Talk friend yesterday. I subscribe to Petwarmers but for some reason did not receive this one. I thought it was just beautiful and the last line is oh so true and made me fill up with tears. Cherish all of those cuddily moments and hug those furkids! Their lifespans are much too short.

Here, Here!! We've been having a lot of sick animals and euthanasia's lately and it's been hard. I am feeling a deep sadness right now for a poor sick kitty- our job can be really hard!!!

Great reminder! Thank you -- I've been focusing on the negative way too much lately.
