What to look for in cat food for ferrets

Hi all, new here. Found this forum on the search. I have 2 babies and was thinking of giving them cat good instead of marshalls ferret food, I found on this page good brands (https://bestferretguide.com/best-cat-food-for-ferrets/). What are some things I wanna make sure it has, and what should I absolutely avoid? What brands of cat food do you suggest? Thanks in advanced.

You need to substitute kitten - not cat food, as it has a higher protein content. Avoid grains - ferret cannot digest carbohydrates, so still to high protein kitten food and you should be okay!
