This morning I am heading off to Burlington to attend their annual Cat Show. I am bringing my camera and lots of batteries and smart cards.

The show is no way huge compared to most cities but there are many folks from Canada that attend, since I live/work so near the border.

A couple other Pet Talkers were to attend, but the snow we received yesterday was an issue for us all. I hope the show wasn't cancelled. I suspect not! So it will be packed with people today, for sure!

Anyway, I will d/l as many photos as possible when I return. If I see a dog on the way, I will take a pic, to try to make this exciting for all the doggie owners as well.

Here is a website of the cat show.

I was planning to go too but with at least 17 inches of fresh snow and a broken snowblower I am still trying to shovel out my driveway. :(

I hope you enjoy the show and get lots of good photos SAS!

My Mom bought me this and for no one else. She also said to apologize about the fuzzy photos but she did not use a flash and it seems that it effected the quality of the pictures. She took lots of photos but without a darn flash. Except of course, for the last photo of me, Miley, in my new tent.

Enjoy!

P. S. She said it was very crowded and lots of fun. She also bought us all some catnip bags! Woooohhooooo!;)

P. S. S. My Mom said she never touches other kitties she doesn't know, especially at Pet Shows. She doesn't want to give us a free disease or virus. She said it is like going to an Art Museum - you look but do not touch....unless you are buying, of course! She said she was very tempted. She was also afraid that if she touched a kitty, she would feel obligated to bring it home! Yikes! We don't want any more competition here, for sure!

Here is a good photo - she used a flash by mistake! Yea!

Did you not use a flash to avoid scaring the cats?

Looks like a good show. I especially like the last cat -- marbles!

First, I didn't want to scare the kitties and then I figured I would have red eyes in all the photos. Also some judges don't like flashing also. I also could have mis-set the flash to an incorrect category - I didn't read the manual to the camera! I just turned the setting to something other than flash. It has something like 5 categories other than flash. Oh well. I should find that manual to avoid awful pics!

The cats looked SO bored today. It was day 2 for them and I think they were ready to go home!:)

Thanks for sharing the pics, SAS, it looks like it was a lot of fun, and the cats are beautiful. I'm so sorry I couldn't make it, I was really looking forward to it, too. OH Well, I'll make a point of looking it up next year. I'm so glad to know about it.

Take Care,

Anna :D

Thank you for posting the pics SAS!
Did you get any pics of Meezers?
I too look forward to going next year and lets hope for no snowstorm that weekend!

We finally got the driveway cleared by noon.
I am still thawing out from hanging out at the sledding hill where my daughter went for her friends birthday party.

Nice to see a picture of Miley girl. She so reminds me of Bodhi with her sweet, innocent look.

Here's what my mom made Maya and Bodhi for Xmas. They don't cuddle much anymore but neither was willing to cede to the other and so they both stayed put , not out of togetherness but of stubborness.

Lailamara,

I LOVE your kitties!! Abbies are such cool cats. I have a friend in CT who has two of them and they are so affectionate. They just wrap their front legs around your neck and give you head butts. How many Abbies do you have?

Wonderful! I'm kicking myself for forgetting my camera, but when I think how few of my photos turn out well perhaps it's no real loss.

Miley, as ever, is ADORABLE! Good looking tent, too.

Sorry about your flash, but we enjoyed the pictures just the same. It looks like Miley has definitely taken a shine to her new tent. I imagine she will let Grammy Crackers in if he says please. Don't think there'd been room in there for the Gabester too as he is a little more 'bulky.' It looks like a great day was had by all. Too bad there was no one to take a picture of Mommy SAS. Glad you had a safe trip. We got a surprise mini-snowstorm yesterday but nothing like you folks up there!
