I think my sister sort of wanted to show him, but he has too many white marking that Dobermans aren't supposed to have. We took him to Hurricane Creek (his favourite place to hang out and go crazy) yesterday, and he had sooo much fun! We went in the rapids, and he followed us, and he even saw a bottle floating in the water and picked it up. I knew he was a Doberman right away. Ya know why? because they are my favorit breed. Thewy are the best dogs. I grew up with the breed because my mom used to breed them.
Samson is so cute. I'm jeleous. And he's my favorit color of a Doberman "red"

Samson is so beautiful. He looks almost identical to my friends old dobe, she was red with natural ears also and she was the sweetest, sappiest, most adoring dog! The people who don't know dog breeds normally think of a dobe as a vicious breed, while "Athena" (that was my friends red dobe)could not just sit next people who were in her house....she had this thing of scooting her butt until it was plopped right down on top of our feet http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif She also had to put her entire body on someone's lap. Athena was a great dog and I bet Samson is a sweetheart also. He sure is adorable. I love the 6th picture down, with him lying on a wood floor, it looks as if he's smiling!

Samson is just beautiful, Mary. I think that Dobermans are such powerful, but beautiful dogs. And I have to say Samson looks like a softy!!! I think his coloring is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures.

Hi Meow101... Samson is beautiful. I knew what he was right away too. My mom loves dobies and has a red one too. His name is Sundance...but, when I was living at home I coined the name Sunny-D for him. His the BIGGEST BABY!! Before my mom remarried it was just us 3 girls (my sister, mom and me) and Sunny-D. We live in AZ but in the "winter" it gets a tad cold at nights...sometimes even down to the 30's-40's and since dobies have such short hair he would get cold. He slept with my mom in the big king bed but he had to cuddle right next to her and he would shiver. So, we had to tuck him in under the covers every night so he wouldn't be cold. 95 pounds of absolute mush!!!

He is the greatest dog. I wish I could have him! Every time I go over to my mom's house he comes up to me and immediately starts this horrible whining... it makes my mom so mad! I don't even encourage it! It just proves he is a big baby.

You are very lucky to have Samson. He is gorgeous! Sunny-D doesn't have his ears clipped either and that is the way it should be! They just look so much better natural!

By the way, how old is Samson now? Sunny-D is 7 almost 8. Still young at heart though!

Oops...nevermind on the age thing. I just visited Samson's website. You got him on my sisters birthday! She turned 19 that year.
