Insurance as a volunteer?

Hey ya'll I'm filling out an application to volunteer at my local humane soociety. In it I have to sign a release of all responsibilities if I were to get hurt. Like a bite or something. I don't mind this, but will the insurance I have cover any injuries that I may encounter??
