Thanks! Amazing this is the 20th Year for Pet of the Day! and 19th for the others.

We never knew when we start it all those years ago if it would work, and I hope Paul is proud we've made it this long!

No, we started Pet of the Day first, as that covers dogs and cats as well as other animals. We did not have Miss Hoppy yet at that point. During the first year, the dogs and cats overwhelmed the other animals in terms of nominations, so we gave them their own respective sites a year later!

We got Miss Hoppy - she was my birthday present that year - once we had bought our house, in 1998 I think. We looked around, and none of the shelters we called had bunnies - this was long before pet finder.com, etc., so we got her at our local pet store. She was the one curious one in the cage who hopped right over to my hand instead of running away from it - so we chose each other!
