Congrats to the ESA and the Rosetta team for pulling off an incredible mission. Landing on a comet moving through the solar system at 84,000 MPH.

Yeah, it's great they were skilled enough to figure out how to land on a moving target! Kudos for them, and the rest of us on planet earth that will benefit form everything that is learned!

I heard an update this morning that the comet STINKS - methane, formaldehyde, and other nice gases. Also, it "sings" as neutral particles fall off and oscillate. :)

It's amazing. The craft basically had to free-fall into the tiny gravity well that is the comet, and somehow stick!
