A great example of the benefits of having the love of a pet. It never lets you down.:love:

How nice both the foster family and the hospital workers realized they were both mourning each other's loss, and even from ten feet away, the doggie could sense his person was.

I think it's great that more and more health care facilities, now allow pets to visit the parent patients. Just as in this story, it can be the best medicine that a patient (and pet) could ever receive.

Back in 2008 when I was in rehab for a couple of weeks after I fractured my hip, I could have had Myndi and Sparky visit, but I chose not to let them come, since I believe it would have been more upsetting to them to see me, and then be taken away and I still wouldn't be at home when they got there. I just let them save up the enthusiasm for the grand homecoming. :D:love:

How wonderful and touching. There should always be exceptions to rules, particularly for the elderly and one-eyed pooches;) I was in the hospital last year, very sick. I am pretty sure I recovered faster so I could get home and smooch my cat. The video made me cry, naturally. I hope they are both home and together and well now.

I am so glad you posted this here. I kept seeing it on Facebook, but usually do not click links like this on there.
