Looking for that pair of missing sock in the house?

If it’s not in the laundry, ret checking with your buddy, maybe your dog has them!

DoveLewis Emergency Veterinary Hospital have some very interesting stories on their surgery room for animals. In a recent operation held in the hospital, a 3 year old Great Dane was in a miserable pain-wrenching stage upon his arrival at the Vet hospital. His fetish for socks have led him to the operating table.

The initial x-ray reveals the clutter of a huge mass of foreign matter has filled his stomach. And true enough, the two hour surgery operation reveals 43 ½ pairs of socks in it. Fortunately, the matter was removed and the dog went home the following day after the operation. However the other ½ sock still missing remained a mystery. It is perhaps a record for this dog to be the only dog who have eaten the most socks.

DoveLewis veterinary doctors and staff have dealt with some unusual surgery experiences even in the past. At one time, a patient dog was operated because it ate a Gorilla Glue. The incident was published on the DoveLewis Vet Training website. The Veterinary Practice News, a magazine for Vets have sponsored a contest tagged as: ‘They Ate WHAT?’ The contest has been going for nearly a decade now and this new incident about an Oregon’s Great Dane dog who have eaten socks was a new entry to the contest. This is the story of Brewster, the 3-year old Great Dane dog who now holds the record of eating the most socks!
