No one would ever suspect to look at you now how sad and sick you were when your person rescued you! And she literally saved you life, considering the tragic death of the other horses a short time later! Gracious, how anyone can mistreat a gorgeous horse like you is a mystery to me. I love you unique plaza, and that it is off center, too! Just part of what makes you cute! And it is great you are such a fabulous jumper now that you are healthy and loved! You'll never have to worry again, you have gotten yourself a home that appreciates you for the sweet, spunky boy you are! Congratulations, and we are sure there will be many, many more ribbons in your future!

What a stunning Quarter horse you are, Derby! Looking at your beautiful, heartwarming photos it's hard to imagine you were ever that emaciated, sickly boy your person describes! Your transformation IS nothing short of miraculous, a living testament to your will to survive, your fighting spirit, and the healing power of love (and a healthy diet and good vet care)!

We can't thank your human enough for rescuing you from that hellish existence you (and so many other poor souls:() were forced to endure and I shudder to think that you might have suffered a similar fate had you remained there but a few more days.:confused:

It took some time, well, a whole lot of time, before you would full heal, regain your health and spunk, but heal you did! And oh my, just look at how you sparkle and shine now, not only in your human's heart but in the show ring as well, wowing the judges, earning all of those coveted "blue ribbons!":cool: You truly are a gem, Derby and your human so very lucky to have a beautiful best friend, a loving companion, a partner in and out of the ring, in you!:)

Derby, What a handsome horse you are! You've come a long way since the days when you were not cared for properly. Your present human obviously loves you and takes great care of you.
