Oct Dog Fancy

The new Dog Fancy has arrived!!! It is chock full of great info on adopting a shelter dog, doggie day care, 8 cities + that are "dog towns" AND the featured breed is a PUG!!! I immediatly thought of Cassie and Bandit!!! They have a little black one pictured and I would love to have swiped him outa the magazine!!! If I ever get one, I would get a black one!!! They are soooo cute!!!

I subscribe to Dog Fancy, but I haven't gotten the October issue yet! It also has a colim on "Could your dog's collar deadly?" I can';t wait ti read that!! Thanks!!!

rachel...sorry...typing with 4 paws can cause slippage once in awhile...its' the old not having opposing thumbs thing!!!!!kayann..of those puppies...only one is left...a man was standing on a street in pt.st.lucie giving them away...the only one left is misty...she has the striped face...we were teaching her "sit" command this a.m......it is a great organization... i have gone every day this week as i was on vacation...i will continue to volunteer 1 day a week as i go back to work on mon....i had a blast....nothing but dogs and cats all week...also, the brindle pit has been adopted to A GOOD HOME....WE NOW HAVE A NEW MOMMY PIT WITH 8 PUPPIES...MOSTLY BRINDLE...SHE IS SSOOO SWEET.. AND SUCH A GOOD MOMMY...SHE WAS DUMPED LAST WEEK WITH HER PUPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT... I WISH I COULD WORK THERE EVERY DAY.... THE DELI DOG :D

Oh, delidog!! That is sooo sad that the mother Pit Bull got dumped! I wish I could do something about that! It's sooooooo terrible that people do that to Pit Bulls. :mad: They're just like any other dog! I don't get it. :mad: :(

i know what you mean...the other problem is ...we take pictures of all the dogs to post on web and put in our book that goes to petsmart so people can look and then contact us....we had to decide not to post photos of mommy and her babies because too many people in this area will adopt them to be used either to train as fighters or as bait.....those poor dogs have such a bad rap....i firmly believe it is their irresponsible humans that make them mean...i love all dogs...and cats for that matter...especially to chase!!!the delidog :D :D ;)

Those puppies are adorable! I am so glad they got adopted to good homes. And Kay Ann, I bet Simba looked just like the one on the right! Only cuter, of course :)
DeliDog, I wish I was as good a person as you are, volunteering at shelters! I want to when I am old enough, but I have a feeling I will come home with a new dog every day I go :)
