We have moved, and after 2 long months, we finally got our DSL installed! I've missed this website, and look forward to catching up on all the topics.

Cody was the first DOTD I've seen in a loooong time; what a nice welcome back!

Oh Yay! You're back online! (You should edit your profile, so it reflects your new (nearby to us!) residence!)

Does the new home mean there might be a
fur kid in the near future?????

Yes, it does look like I've got plenty to catch up on! To answer your question, Rachel, unfortunately a furkid is not in the very near future. There are a few issues that are causing us to hold back for now--as I've mentioned, I want to be the best "parent" I can be. Until then I'll just continue to vicariously enjoy your pets through your posts!

I am reminded of something I heard recently: a friend of ours knows a woman who has no dogs of her own though she loves, loves, loves them. So, she buys biscuits to give to dogs she sees on her walk to work (with their owner's permission, of course). Now why didn't I think of that?

Smilla, may I change the subject a teense? About DSL. Is that new to you? Are pictures loading faster now, etc? I would have to change my ISP to get DSL so I'm putting it off for now. In a previous post I've mentioned I play FreeCell while I'm waiting for pictures to load.
And I bet having DSL is great with all the posts you have to catch up with.

Hi Freckles,

DSL is really great to have at home--we're always connected, and yes, it's quite fast. The problem we had was getting it installed, and that had more to do with the DSL company (Verizon). One, the normal waiting period from the time of order is a month, but we went beyond that another month (actually more) because they kept screwing things up. Now that it's behind us, though, I'm glad we went through with it, because we had a painfully slow and unreliable dialup. (Which kept me away from this board longer than necessary!)

Good luck if you decide to move forward with it!

Smila, the dog treats are a great idea! Cody loves the bank drive-thru cause they give out dog biscuits!! He drools as I wait in line! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Shai is so picky when it comes to treats she sometimes doesn't eat the bank cookies.
A local drive thru (for chips, sandwiches, deli style) asked me once can I give your dog a treat ?I was like sure whatever, and they gave her a biscuit also!!! More of us are traveling with out pets!!!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif
