This is one thing Hannah does that always makes me laugh.

She takes this sport very seriously.

Its the sport of Mouse Hunting.
http://wsphotofews.excite.com/019/s2/F0/mU/fI59740.jpg

She will walk tip toe across the snow and listen very carefully for mice running under the snow then she'll pounce like a cat and dig like crazy trying to find the mouse.

http://wsphotofews.excite.com/021/BX/lp/gy/fK32350.jpg

I don't know where she learned to do this but it's a pretty funny thing to watch, she'll spend alot of time walking around litsening for the patter of mice under the snow. She has only caught one mouse that I know of but I made her let it go.

I love to hear and see pics of dogs doing funny things, does anyone have any stories to share?

I don't have any pictures, but I do have a story.
My German shepherd mix, Samson, scares himself whenever he passes gas. He jumps up as though someone pinched his rear end and looks back to see what it was. Then he walks away, stops, and comes back to smell where he was in the first place. I laugh every time.

My Hannah thinks she is a cat. Loves to lie on the back of the sofa. Of course she is no light weight and this scrunches down the cushions so she is not supposed to do it, but it still makes me smile. The caption I have on this one is "I won't say who is snoring, I'll just point to him."

First of all, Nikki's BIG LIPS! They are so floppy! She is so cute when she runs... lips flying in the air and all! When she lays down, the lips spread out on the floor! I wiwsh I had a pic to show you but I dont know how! Also, when Nikki plays with a toy by herself, she growls at it, makes funny noises, throwing it up in the air! It is sooo funny! Nikki also tries to take the trees out of the ground! She barks, gnawing up and down the tree, trying to get it out of the ground. She thinks it is a big stick stuck in the ground. She cracks me up sooo much! I love her! There are sooo many other funny things that she does... I cant even begin! E-mail me if you really want to know!

Rachel, that is the funniest pet photo I think I have ever seen. Hannah and Tucker are adorable. Hannah looks like top dog and poor Tucker doesn't have a care in the world
unless she falls on him. That photo is precious.
Boxerlover, we would love to see a photo of Nikki, maybe someone can tell you how to put them on photopoint. I don't know how to do that, I take them off my website.

Daisy sleeps on the top of our couch too! She likes to be able to watch out the windows and being so short, she has to be up high to do it. It's soo adorable. I'll have to get some pictures of it. Rachel, your dogs just make me smile. What a wonderful picture!

Daisy makes us laugh all the time. We love when one of her huge floppy lips gets stuck in her mouth. It gives her this half viscious, half stupid look. It's also quite cute when she wants to come inside. I am usually here at the computer, whichis next to a window facing the porch. Under the window outside is a chair, and when Daisy wants to come in she jumps up and bangs her nose on the window. It can startle you pretty bad sometimes! And in the summer when there are moths clinging to the screen.... yeah, she eats 'em! Her "singing" talent also makes us laugh. That good old Basset howl is great, and she can howl on command. Pretty much everything Daisy does makes us laugh, I guess! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Simba had tags on his collar and when we are outside the tags on his collar make a reflections on the grass. He trys to attack the reflection and when he moves it moves so he trys again we crack up laughing!!!

And then at the Humane Society theres this dog named Charlie. When they let a dog out to go visit someone all of the dogs go crazy! And Charlie jumps straight up about 4 feet without getting a running start.MY mother and I crack up laughing we can hardly breath.
I think if there was no dogs in the world there would be no happiness... Well atleast for me if i did not have Simba i could not live one day of even one second!

Jeffrey and Bandit play tug-of-war with thier toys. Jeffrey is much stronger than Bandit and always manages to pull the toy away. When he pulls really hard and Bandit stumbles, Jeffrey always brings the toy to Bandit, allows him to get a good grip, and off they go again! So funny to watch!

Genia,

I don't know why, but after almost a year (a year in September) Graham the Aussie mix and Cassie the puglett still have not played....once! Strange http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif

Once in awhile Cassie will try to get Graham to play but she does not try anymore very often because he ignores the poor lil girl. Well at least they don't fight http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Leslie...You're breaking my heart!! Tell Cassie I would play tug-of-war with her in a minute! When I had my last two dogs, my Whitney was always the one who initiated play but Ashley would eventually join in. I hope they will become good friends even yet at some point. Don't give up! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif How is the little puglett feeling after that terrible accident? Kisses to her!

Hey Pam,

Cassie's doing OK, sometimes I hear that tooth grinding in her mouth when she tries to drink water and it's kinda gross http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif She has surgery this Thursday to get it taken out and she's going to get a dental while she's going to go under anisthetic anyway. I am worried about her. I hate knowing that my dogs are having any kind of surgery http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif I just hope she pulls out OK and she only has the one broken tooth and not more in that mouth of hers.

My poor little smashey face girl http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif

Cassie's going to be just fine and will feel so much better with that tooth out. Don't worry, instead concentrate on her being fixed up like new. We will all have her in our thoughts and prayers on Thursday.

This is a late post regarding what silly things your dogs do that make you laugh...there's something that Graham has done since I adopted him that's really funny and seems to be really unique too. It's kind of embarrassing to mention though, but I know you pet talk people would not get too disgusted http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif It took me awhile to get up the nerve to post it http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Well when I get home from work Graham is VERY happy to see me. He gets very excited, rolls over submissively exposing his belly (side effect from the days when he was abused), his little stubble's going a zillion mph, and low and behold...he has a bananna in his pocket http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Are there any other owners with male dogs who get banannas in their pockets when they are happy to see their owners? It's the funnies thing http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif He has never ever tried to hump anything so I know it's not him wanting puppies, he just gets so excited that he baloons up...if you know what I mean. I thought about whether or not I should post this, but I am curious to know if any other male dogs do that when they are happy to see their owners?

Hope I have not said too much http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Sometimes my Australian shepherd, Bandit, knows when I'm not in too good a mood and he will try to snuggle at first, and if that doesn't work he rolls on his back and sticks his legs straight up and just lays their and barks! He's a sweetie. We used to have to pick Bandit up and put him in the car (at about 65 lbs. its not easy!), but now he loves to go for car rides and when I get in the back seat (he has to sit in the back of the jeep where their are no seats) and he jumps right on in and sits right on top of me! He used to be afraid of the car! Now its hard just to get him out.

I believe the funniest thing he's ever done was when I took him to a friend's house and they had a big rottweiler mix (the sweetest dog in the world) and an australian cattledog. At the time they were tied up because they were loading and unloading the horses. Well, I had Bandit in the back up the jeep while I got out for a sec. Bubba (rottie mix) put his front legs on the back of the car and Bandit and Bubba just sat there and stared at each other. You couldn't hear either one of them growling but by the look on their faces you could tell they were like, "Get off my property" and "Get away from my car" It was so cute. But once we untied the dogs and got out Bandit they got along just fine.

Leslie, I am laughing so hard, tears are coming to my eyes, and yes, my dear sweet Tucker, on occasion gets sooo happy that he has "a banana in his pocket" as well. The really funny thing is not having had a male dog since I was young, I initially didn't know if this was a "condition" or something. He had been through major surgery several weeks before I got him from an intestinal blockage and then all of a sudden the parts were less than private!
What could be wrong? I finally calmed down and deduced that parts are parts and stuff happens.

Adore, That's too bad that Cassie and Graham don't get along. Bandit was a little hesitant at first but Jeffrey is so lovable. I guess he bugged Bandit so much that Bandit finally gave in. I wish it ccould be the same for your two.

Poor Cassie, things have been so rough for her. I hope the surgery goes well. I'm sure it won't be long before she's back to her old self. I'm keeping you in my thoughts.

Leslie, No you didn't say too much. In fact I'm not sure you said enough for me to figure it out! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/redface.gif Would this be what I have observed in the past few months with Buddy-M/N dog -are you saying its like the bananna slips out of the pocket? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif At first I had wondered if this was normal as its been many years since I had a boy dog.

I hate to let it out of the bag (poor Smokey) And I could be wrong, haven't had a male dog in YEARS. But did Smokey show his 'nanner in his pic, He looked like a guy with his zipper down!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif he is still beautiful!!! and so is Cinder!!!

No his bananna does not show it's self, his true bananna stayes inside the peel, but the bananna swells up 3 or so times it's normal size http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif

His little doggie weener becomes....um....well, lets just say alot bigger then normal http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/redface.gif He gets so excited that he gets a doggie erection. This happens when I leave him in the house for an extended period of time (while at work, out to dinner or movies, grocery shopping) and when he greets me he always goes belly up so I can see what excitement had done to him http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Is this a normal thing? It's a little embarrassing sometimes when I walk in the house with a guest because the guest usually asks "what's wrong with his "thingie?" How do I explain that my dogs gets a doggie erection when I come home? A little humilating but he's a boy dog and hopefully it's not all that uncommon!

LOL!!!! I noticed Smokey too but it just reminded me of my Cody. Doesn't happen as often anymore but of course it's was always in a photo or when I'm talking to the neighbors. I swear, anything to embarass me! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif The pitbull 2 doors down goes BANANAS when he sees me, plops on his back for a tummy rub but at that point I say no way! The owners yell at him "put it back" but they say he only does it with me. I guess it's a compliment? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif I guess boys will be boys! One cute thing Cody does is wake me up with a teeny kiss on the nose! Can't possibly get mad!
