Hi everyone.
Yesterday someone I know asked to be a FB friend. I agreed - what the heck?
Then when I logged on this morning "Larry" started chatting with me. It was about a foundation or fund - and had "Agent Brent" given me a few dollars yet? (Brent is someone we both know).
After several back-and-forths, I asked: "Larry, has your account been hacked?"
NO response. LOL I unfriended him and changed my FB password.
A private recovery group I am in got a new "member" who had apparently sent the same stalker-type status updates to quite a few recovery groups, with the same wording.
In both cases, the person's timeline was mostly blank. After the person was blocked or unfriended, it went back to normal.
If you get a friend request, phone or email the person first.
I know this has happened before on FB but there seems to be a new rash of account hacking.
