Amigo has arrived!

Hi PT friends,
Our furry little bundle of joy arrived this morning! Amigo is soooo cute!!! He had us firmly wrapped around his little paws in no time. While Donna and I had a great visit Amigo wandered around checking out his new place, found a few hidey spots, begged for part of our lunch, played with his new toys and seemed to like climbing on his condo. Amigo ran under the couch several times so now it's known as the "Cat Cave". He has been there since Donna had to head home but Soncat and I look in on him from time to time. He'll come out when he's ready. We plan to do the transition at his pace. No chance to get any pictures yet, that will happen when he settles in and feels more comfortable here. Our home feels complete once again.

Thank you to all for your kind comments on Amigo. The transition is going very well. This morning he sat on my lap for a solid 3 hours purring, snuggling, and sleeping. One time he turned over on his back and let me give him some tummy rubs. Our bonding time is the most important part of establishing a caring and loving relationship so he's setting the pace. Amigo loves climbing his condo, playing with his new mousie, but the cutest is watching him chase his tail. He spent his first night in his Cat Cave, except when he was jumping on my knees and shoulders. There's no doubt that Amigo has completely taken over. I'm hoping to get some pictures very soon.

How are you doing sweetie? Thank you for your offer to Amigo. Soncat is getting him a cell phone and I'm sure Amigo will be contacting you. He'll want to know all about Catmobile trips and all the things his fellow PT kitties like to do. I know you'll be a good friend to him.

Hi Franklin and the Princess, Amigo is settling in and as kitties do has completely taken over. While checking out his new home he found Groucho's fiddle and was so excited when he found that it makes sounds. Now Amigo wants to know what it is, what it does, and what it's for. It looks like the bagpipe quartet just might have a new fiddler.

Mac insisted I go out and find Amigo a baseball glove. He thinks Frankie, Amigo, and himself will make great basemen! Kimba wants me to buy him sheet music for his fiddle. What's a meowmie to do?:rolleyes:

Hi Mac, I think Amigo will be a wonderful baseball player. He runs so fast he'll probably be able to stretch a single into a triple. Hi Kimba, thank you so much for looking for sheet music so Amigo can play the fiddle. He signed himself up for lessons and starts next week.

Today I had to run over to the post office. When I got back Amigo was on the computer looking into law school. Apparently he found my legal dictionary and thought it would be fun to go.

Soncat said he has a cell phone on order for Amigo and will pick it up on Saturday.

Amigo is so full of kitten curiosity and energy. Thanks Karen, I'll give that a try.

Dear Amigo,

If your meowmie has not already started, pretty soon she will begin wrapping Christmas gifts. Cassie has always helped me with gifts and I wonder if you would like to help your meowmie and Soncat. Sometimes I put gifts into boxes, and then wrap the box. If the gift needs to be folded, Cassie will inspect it by smelling it, touching it with her paw, and/or lying on it. She is also my tissue paper specialist - lying on it, touching it, pouncing on it, or playing with a toy that I slip underneath it. Then comes either wrapping paper or a gift bag. A bag requires inspection inside and out, and a headbumpie to be sure it smells like kitty. Wrapping paper follows the same rules as tissue paper and the game starts when I am cutting the paper from the roll. But the most fun is ribbon and bows! Ribbon can be chased and bows can be tossed and pounced upon. Our rule is that ribbon only gets played with when I can su-purr-vise. Don't want any mishaps. When Cassie Cat was little, she used to paw at the edges of wrapped gifts to try to unwrap them, so i would wait till the last possible day to do gift wrapping. Not so much now that she's older.

It is always fun to have kitty help with gift preparation. I tell my family all gifts are cat-tested and kitty approved. I'm sure you will be a wonderful help to your meowmie and Soncat when it's gift-wrapping time! There are also birthdays and other occasions when a gift is wrapped or put into a gift bag, and those are fun too.
