What did you guys think of the TV coverage Thanksgiving of the National Dog Show? Is it me, or are they profiling fewer and fewer breeds each year? Yes, folks with Internet access can go see profile, but they seemed to do so few breeds, almost none of the "giant" breeds for example, none of the poodles, etc., etc. I was kind of disappointed .... what did you think?

I do love the "dreaming" series of commercials Purina had - not gonna buy their food, but certainly a dog person thought those up!

I'm thinking they recorded the entire event, and then selected just a few from each group to focus on. When Westminster is on, every dog in each group is shown - that's why that show runs for two nights. It's like 6 hours over the two nights.

I like John O'Hurley with David Frei, and Mary Carillo is excellent at what she does. She often has segments on Bryant Gumbel's sports show on HBO, and her segments are great - full of information and fun.

They only featured a few dogs from each group. I like Westminster, when it's spread out over two nights and we get to see the winner from each breed! I wanted to leap through the TV to pet and love on the beardie, though. And the Bichon, and the husky and the corgis and the collies...

Yes, the National rarely provides the indepth coverage which we get used to watching Westminster. The time constraint at play, I guess.

Honor, the bichon who won Group, is one of my FB friends, she has been moving up the ranks quickly!

How fun you know her! I of course think of you and the fluffs when they profile the Bichon!
