Wow, what the heck is going on in Toronto? How could such a large metropolitan city get saddled with such a crazy man?
Has he always acted this way? How in the world did he ever get elected in the first place? Seems like they are stuck with him
as he says he will not resign.

From what I have read, the choice in the last election there was between Ford and a right-wing nutbar. Lesser of two evils.

The odd thing is - there is no law that enables Council to remove Ford from office. They are stripping him of some of his powers, however. The provincial premier is not interfering at this point, but it seems to be open to the possibility that she will if necessary.

I have the feeling that his brother and some members of council have been enabling the guy.

Ford has apparently done some very good things for Toronto. Now he needs to do something for himself.

I know some professional people who live in Toronto & have heard what a great city it is. This guy is sure giving them a black eye with
all the bad publicity.

After that last number of his, anything he says or does from now on will be rather anticlimactic!

Lest anyone think Americans have a monopoly of "colorful" politicians - this guy, well, I would say takes the cake, but he probably already ate that cake, and doesn;t remember it anymore.

Just in case anyone forgot ... he isn't even being that original. Remember Marion Barry as mayor of Washington DC :D

The CC can't take away his power to buy liquor?

That seems to be the problem?
