I'm always amazed that, after so many centuries of deliberate cruelty by humans, cats can be such loving and trusting companions to us. Phebe was literally "thrown away" in a manner that could easily have killed or permanently injured her, but it appears that love from one human (reinforced by one of her feline peers) showed her that not everyone member of our species is a brutal monster. She is beautiful to look at, and her story (though ugly at the beginning) has a beautiful ending.

Dearest Phebe, what a lovely little Italian girl you are! You are so pretty, with your grey tabby fur, which I would love to reach over to you in Italy and pet, and your pale green eyes. And what a delightful photo of you wrestling with (or being cleaned by) your good kitty buddy Bobo!

We are SOOOOO glad that eight years ago your Purrrrson went to investigate when she and Bobo saw the bag flying from the car, and found you in it and brought you home to love and keep Furrrever. You were just a baby then! God bless your wonderful Purrrson! Ever since, you have been a treasured member of her family, making everyone smile with your lively antics. And eight years is not that old for a kitty.. you are in the prime of life!

Beautiful Phebe~I'm in tears after having read your heart wrenching, life affirming, inspirational story, sweet baby girl. I will never be able to comprehend how any sentient being could abuse a helpless, defenseless creature as you were abused, discarded like trash.:( But thankfully a higher power intervened that fateful Friday the 17th, leading your forever human to be, and best bud Bobo, to you, rescuing you from the ultimate horror! I'm so happy for you, Phebe, that you are now living the good life, the happy, carefree, love filled you always deserved!
