I've seen parts of this video several times but never saw the entire video until now. It makes me cry. I know that distraught woman was so glad to find her dog alive. Maybe the dog heard her talking to the reporter and came out. I cant imagine how scarey a tornado would be for a human and/or a dog. Thanks for posting the link.

I saw the entire video and bawled happy tears. Then right after that it was shown on the news and I cried again.

My paternal grandmother was from Oklahoma and this woman really reminded me of her, the accent and everything.

I heard on the news that Oklahoma City Animal Care and Control is accepting pets who were separated from their people during the tornado. They will stay there for 30 days and hopefully be reunited with their people. PAWS Chicago is sending a team down to Oklahoma City Animal Care and Control. They are going to bring home some of the dogs and cats who were already there, to make more room for pets affected by the tornado. That way, Oklahoma City has more space, and these dogs and cats will have an opportunity to be adopted by people in the Chicago area :) They will be admitted to PAWS Chicago when they get back, and should be ready to meet potential adopters early next week.

I absolutely shed a tear (or two!) when they found her dog as well. I guess what bothers me the most though is how NO ONE moved to help her pick the rubble off the trapped dog until she started crying for help. They just watched her struggling with it... But the dog hopped out and walked away, no limping or anything... if that were me and my dog I would have collapsed to the ground crying. I can't even imagine. Can't even imagine.

I noticed that too. No one seemed to move to help when she struggled to remove the stuff off the pup. She even asked them to "help me". Were they too concerned
about getting the shot of film, or were they just in shock themselves?

Anyway, I'm just glad this had a good ending for the woman & her dog.:)
