Time to take a blanket out and have a picnic.

-----------

I think some sandwiches, noodle and potato salad and some lemonade and ice tea sound good.

The weather has been warm - a little too humid - but nice enough to think about being outdoors after a prolonged winter season.

------------

Will someone bring a ball so we can play catch with the Orc and Angel?

DONE.

Not unless someone brought along a fire extinguisher.....

A picnic by the pond sounds like just the thing. THe weather should be great the next few days, just got to watch out for the twitterpated frogs!

QoP, I hope that's A DURABLE frisbee!:p

Oh, yes! A picnic! I'm drinking iced tea right now- would anyone like some with me?

Cassie wouldn't like to go outside, but she would like to sit in the open window, sniff the air, and hear all the different sounds. She will do that for a couple of hours if the weather is fine.

And now, a joke from one of my niece's students:
Why do hummingbirds hum? Because they don't know the words. (apparently this second-grader thinks this is the Funniest Joke Ever)

THey must have the same joke books my kids do... :rolleyes:I've threatened to burn them several times. :p

How about some burgers on the grill? Nice overcast afternoon out here, perfect for grilling!I'll get them going, someone else man the taps and keep Angel away from the grill? She still doesn't comprehend that hot things are BAD for puppy noses.

Re Kid's Jokes?

I was a senior in high school and did a week of camp counseling with a bunch of 6th graders, their jokes were the same that I learned......Now, 150 YEARS LATER? They are telling the same jokes!:D

Well, it's hot.

Damned hot.

(I'll leave the rest of that quote to those who know Good Morning Vietnam!)

Planting needs to be done, watering needs to be done, but it's going to wait until tonight.

In the meantime, I'm going to tend bar for a bit, while having a cold one myself.

Well,

The garden is springing.

Beans, cucumbers, beets, chard, carrots, onions, parsnips and radishes are all sprouting. Waiting to get the rest of the garden in because it's supposed to be near freezing at night over the weekend. 2 new raised bed frames are done and in.

Breakfast anyone? Eggs and kielbasa?

That sounds yummy! It went from less than 60 deg F on Sunday to nearly 90 yesterday.

Lady's Human

One plate of eggs and 'basa coming up!

The temps here are in the mid '80s, but supposed to be bitter cold at night the next few nights, so the tomato plants, okra, eggplant, peppers, etc. are staying in for now.

The next round is on me!!! Finally got my 4 windows that were broken in our April 7th hail storm fixed today. !!! The cat kids had a grand time peeking out the windows wanting them repair the broken ones. Now they are in the kitchen looking out their fav windows that had been boarded up for all that time. :D

A big cherry vanilla cola for me please and a round of iced catnip teas for my brats.

Lady's Human
