Some Spring Pictures (and more)

Springtime was late this year, we really had a long, almost neverending winter. Right now, the trees are in blossom, which is usually happening in early April, but this year is really weird.

Anyway, I did not want to take the same spring flower pictures that I've taken the years before, so I tried to make them look a little different... This is what I have done so far:

Sunshine capture in brilliant hue
Dandelions - beloved of children
Kindergarten teachers and
Scourge of groundkeepers
Spring up, unbidden, in random spots
Tenacious and opportunistic
Any crack in the pavement will do
Gloriously yellow
Delicate petals in generous abundance
And stronger than all the curses hurled at them
The first dandelion - more than any calendar date
Change in fashion or
Arbitrary declaration by talking heads -
Means spring has not just arrived,
But is here for good!

LOL, well, she WAS actually about to drink from the cup! ;) There was ricemilk in it but she was really interested and I'm sure she would have tried it if I'd let her. :)
