Everyone here is fantastic and loves their dogs or cats or pets so much. I am curious
to know how many of you have made a home page
for them? I am 65 and my husband is 70 and we love our dogs so much that we learned how to do this although not very professionally.
It has been a labor of love. We would love to see some of your best friends. Our home page is http://schnauzerville.homestead.com
if you would like to take a look we would love it!

Your home page is wonderful! I love your pictures and the captions are so cute! I think you have done a wonderful job! How nice of you to have a memorial page for your sweetie, Kona. Our pets live on in our memories! I don't have any dogs right now (my last one left me in June of 1998) but I do have 2 kitties. Their pictures are on Photopoint (see below) which is not a web page but is an excellent place to display pictures and it's free too! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Hope you enjoy them.

Great job! I liked the captions as well. "The better to hear you with, my dear" especially made me laugh. We have all too many pictures of our dogs in mid-growl.

Your pets are all adorable! Miss Daisy was particularly lovely... maybe loveliness runs in the name? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif And Pam your kitties are so sweet! I love that little orange mark on one of their noses. Yes, of course I have a page for my Daisy! I made it last summer and I think I went overboard but hey it shows how much I love her! Here is her page http://MyDaisy.homestead.com/Daisy.html

Daisy's Mom, Daisy is just beautiful. No wonder she was picked dogoftheday. We had a basset a few years ago, his name was Charlie and he was from Rhode Island. He would sit out in the yard with his head looking up and howl at the moon. Quite a charactor.
Daisy is quite the partygoer and a boyfriend to boot. Her photos are really cute!

Daisy's Mom......I love her web page. You did such a nice job with her story. She sounds like she has quite a social life! I hope you didn't let her see my kitties when you went to their Photopoint page. If so, she is probably still barking! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Tell her not to worry. These are two kitties who would never harm her. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Everyone,

You pictures are WONDERFUL! It's so much fun to meet all the furbabies http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif And as for the websites, they are so wonderful. Fine job, everyone!http://photomail.photoworks.com/sharing/album.asp?Key=5101584040310109

Here are my kids, although, for some reason, in the photos they appear much darker then they really are. It's probablly something that happened when they went digital, perhaps they were not scanned well. Who knows. Anyway, "sno nose" is my favorite pic and it's now my wallpaper here at work and at my home pc also.

ownerofthreedogs: Wow, Zues, Felice and
Hercules are really big and they are so beautiful. Was that snow on them? Mitzy is gorgous, love her whiskers. Nera is the proverbial black cat, bet she is popular on Halloween, she is so pretty.

adoremydogs, Your dogs are so cute, one is small and looks like one big one. I love the photo with the snow on his or her nose.
Do they like being out in the snow? You have a wonderful doggie family. I love looking at all these photos and getting to know everybodys best friends.

Jackie,

Graham, the larger one (he's 48 pounds) LOVES the snow! He never seems to tire of it. The little one, Cassie, (an 18 or so pound Pug) could not hate the snow any more! She is miserable in the snow. I have to keep a sweater on her or else she won't even step foot out the door!

Graham is the rugged, agile, athletic dog and Cassie the pug is the couch potato who would rather just sit around and snuggle then go outdoors. I love them both so much. I also adopted both of them. Graham I adopted about 6 years ago and I just adopted Cassie in September of this year. They are both 7 years old.

adoremydogs: They are really nice dogs, that is wonderful that you adopted them. I thought Cassie was a pug, but I was not sure.
Our kids are grown and have kids of their own, the grandkids have their own interests now, so Daisy and Perry are our new family.
Daisy like Cassie does not like the cold and we put her out in the morning, she doesn't like that too much and she keeps rapping on the door until we ler her in. Perry on the other hand loves the cold. Just like you
we adore our furry friends.

Thanks for Daisy's site's compliments! Yes she is a very busy girl! I do think I went overboard with it though... the saddest part is I wanted to add more but I looked at it and said wow... I think I should stop now! Your dogs are all beautiful! Simba looks very sweet, and I just love Hercules! Cassie is also adorable, I love pugs http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Jackie: thanks for the great comments.
yes that was snow. it was the first of the year. My dogs ARE really big Felice is 115lb, Hercules is 100lb, and Zues is 60lb.
They are wonderful dogs Felice is the couch potatoe. Hercules is the baby, but has taken over as the lead gaurd dog(very protective) and Zues is my agility dog. He can make it over an eight foot fence!

I love everyones dog. It great to see their pictures.

It might be a nice link for you they are located in Utah and take animals from all over the country who are in need. We strongly support them. Loved your webpage.

Have you ever visited the Best Friends Sanctuary? I live about an hour and a half away, and they do some wonderful things.

jackiesdaisy1935

Hi Teena: I subscribe to Best Friends, and we get their magazine. I think they do the most wonderful job taking care of all animals. I send a donation twice a year to help out. I haven't been there yet, but I would love to, I understand they have some cabins for people who stay a few days. Maybe some day I hope.

Jackie:
They do have cabins available for overnight guests. Best Friends does such great work. They coordinate all the spay/neuter clinics in our area, and the amount of animals they have is overwhelming! It is truly a no-kill shelter. If you ever get a chance to come out this way, you much visit them. Also, we have several beautiful parks to see: Zion, Cedar Breaks, Bryce, etc.

Teena Thanks for the information, I thought I read where they have cabins and we have never been to those parks. We will keep that in mind for a vacation, I would really love to see Best Friends.

Hi Pam,

I just loved your pictures in photopoint. You're white cat looks just like my Marius! They're so cute:-) I've been meaning to put a site up with our family pets but haven't gotten around to it. I had a great site up when I was in college, but forgot to save the code before I graduated and it got wiped out. Thanks for sharing your family with us! That goes for the rest of you on this site as well!:-)

This is under the category of "You asked for it". Hannah and Tucker have a quite a few albums at PhotoPoint. This will get you to the album list. The ones that are theirs are numbered, so start at the top and keep going. Hopefully you are young as it may take years to look at them all. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=167892&Auth=false

Thank you Wolflady. My white cat, Andy, is a real sweetheart....just an affectionate little bundle of love. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif I would definitely recommend showing your photos on Photopoint, and when you do definitely post us a notice so we can all visit. Just want to put a plug in here for Rachel's babies who are also on Photopoint. You are in for a real treat and, like she says, pull up a comfortable chair because there's lots to see. Her captions are great too! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Rachel: Your photos are fantastic. I fell in love with Hannah and Tucker, they are darling. I loved the photo of them on the couch with the red bandanas on and also in the snow. A nice tribute to Tizzy and Bailey, they were so beautiful. We had three Schnauzers, Kona our fourteen year old crossed the Rainbow bridge in October, it was very hard to let her go. Thanks for sharing your photos they were terrific

Hey buckwild, I couldn't believe my eyes when I went to your website (that is great by the way :0) and saw a picture of Tide his markings are the same as Hannah's only his are darker in colour. He is so gorgous :0)

Here look at Hannah's colour, the spots were darker when she was a pup but they have faded a bit now.
http://www.geocities.com/the_hound_house/snowdayhan.JPG

When I got her I was told she was pure beagle but friends and family think she may have some pointer or bluetick in her.

Im going to go look up Pharaoh Hound and see what they look like. But the colour came from the Australian Cattle Dog right ?

Anyway nice site and beautiful dog.

JackiesDaisy....You inspired me to try and build a website on homestead....trying, but!! Ahhhh! Still trying to pull all the info together. Your site is wonderful, and all of the others too. I just love having a face to put with the names and stories! Like you and Teena, I love Best Friends. That was the first pet forum I found when I first got my computer, and became quite close with many of the members there. What a fantastic job they do. Just incredible dedication and love. Like you, I'd love to go for a visit and see first hand all that they do! HUA (Hearts United for Animals) is another great one. I have a "Buddy" and "Sweetheart" that I sponsor there. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful photos!

tatsxxx11: We will all look forward to seeing your new website on homestead, if I can make one (with my Grandson's help)you can. It's a lot of fun, our Son bought us a digital camera and I drive Daisy and Perry crazy taking photos and the family too. If I can help you at all, just let me know, I'm no Einstein but I do pretty good with the basics. Still can't figure how to put a photo on this site yet though. I think
BestFriends is the best. Kona is in the Angels Rest there in October.

Buckwild ~ Tide's website is great. He is a great looking dog and obviously another contented bedbug. I love his nickname *Puptart*. I'm looking for some nicknames because poor Tucker has only Tucky Wucky which my husband gave him and I HATE because it makes him sound like a Teletubbie. Also the funniest picture of Tide is his comparison to the Tansmanian Tiger. What a stitch!

From Santa Cruz!! Tide loves to swim in the ocean and catch frisbees at the beach everyday. Hope that you are enjoying California - just wait until the summer. Great sun and fun!

And Tahoe is a must. Go up for a weekend and go snowboarding! We also go up in the summer and stay at this great cabin. You'll love it! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
