I thought it would be fun to see each person's breed specific cats on their own thread. Let's start with our orangies....

These sure tugged at my heart....orangies are so special. Its neat seeing that even though they are all different, they still have those similar forehead markings.

This is the only photo of my sweet (RB) kitty Y.Lee that is scanned into the computer. But he certainly needs to be honored here on the "orange thread" He is the one looking at the camera.

Rusty and Rileigh prove the saying"bet you can't have just one!"

Is it Rusty on the left? (I know that you all are thinking "We'll she's got a 50/50 chance of being right.....but I always get 50/50 questions wrong....)

This orange boy taught me about being owned by a cat. I'll always be grateful for that! Maybe one day he'll send another orange ball of fluff to me. Meanwhile, I do love my tabbie Winston and my Tortie Noodle.

Murf, I love you and miss you! RIP 1989-2002

Murf can find Y.Lee (posted earlier) at the RB for company. He also left me this year, and I miss him dearly.

Kim, your boys are beautiful! Riley looks like the orange-cat standard! And Riley's marking are so exotically unique. What a pair! My orange tabby (who has crossed The Bridge now) looked like Riley but with a white nose. His name was Cheetoh...he was born in a box in my bedroom and looked just like a puffy cheetoh when he was tiny!

Now Loius looks like a soldier who didn't want to get drafted! What a handsome boy! When Cheetoh (mentioned above) was born, he had a brother, a grey tabby, that was supposed to go take over the home and life of a sister of a friend. The girl's name was Loius! But Louis never came to get the darling...so I kept him...and named him...Loius!! He was loyal, skittish, and very photogenic.

This is a wonderful thread. I refer to our Oscar as a "marmalade tabby" but an Orangie is fine too! So many of your cats look like him. What I like about the Orangies is that they remind me of an book I had when I was very little, titled "Horatio." Horatio was an Orangie with a scowly temper, and I think that quality can be found in lots of Orangies. But the story ended with Horatio coming to appreciate his family, human and animal alike. Have you ever seen this book? It's a treasure.

Green, no, I never saw the book. Sure wish I had...it sounds like a treasure. My Cheetoh sure appreciated me! That was some kind of fierce love! He was a "doggish" cat...none of the stand-off-ish-ness that cats are accused of. He wanted every minute of my attention. Very talkative. Called him Buster quite a bit because it just seemed to fit him.

I had a cat book when I was a kid called "What Makes My Cat Purr?" I am now 42 and the book is on my shelf (display-style) in my office at work!!

I love all the oragies on Pet Talk - Fister, Noah, Trevor, Punkin and all of them.
BUT, I think, Jen's Lucas is absolutely different from all the orangies (and cats in general) I know. He has this cute face, like he knows the secret of the world. He must be a very intelligent guys, right Jen? I wish I could have a long discussion with him. I forgot how old is Lucas. Must go back to your series of posts about your kitties to re-read his story.
Oh, I never had an orange cat. My cousin had one for many years, a real tom cat.
