A news article from the local paper: (bold text is mine)
WHITNEY POINT — The Village of Whitney Point is reminding residents and visitors that vehicle parking on public streets between the hours of 2 to 6 a.m. is prohibited from Nov. 1 - May 1.
In addition, it is the duty of all owners of occupants of lands fronting any sidewalk upon a public street to keep them clear of ice and snow. Failure to keep sidewalks clear can result in the village taking action to remove ice and snow and charging a fee to the property owner.
I thought we fixed that whole owning people thing 160 years ago? :p
IN addition, why should I have to keep the occupants I own free of ice and snow?
