are protruding below his lower jaw. He looks like a sabre-tooth cat! I do not know if his canines (felines) are extra large or whether his lower jaw is small. While playing with him yesterday I noticed this. He cannot cover them with his lower or upper jaw. They are only noticeable when he lifts up his head, so as to expose his lower jaw. I had one other cat with this dental situation last year, ( he is now RB). Question, is this to be expected with some felines or is this a rare occurance?

Neko's canines hang down so that you can see them all the time. It does not harm the cat at all, i guess he just has big teeth!

Neko 1, those are good photos. Yes, that is the way Nikolai looks, only they are longer than Neko's.

If they are not affecting his eating, licking, chewing and other catty things, I wouldn't worry so much about them.

Just keep them clean by giving him some raw chicken wings to chew on to stop them from getting bad tartar.

Noah's teeth are like that too...it's really cute! :)

I agree with the previous post, if Nikolai can eat, drink, clean, etc. I think he's OK.
