I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved predecessor, as well that their first attempt at rescue didn't work out as they hoped. But as they say, everything happens for a reason, and in this case the reason was YOU!:) What an amazing story, your family coming upon you "out of nowhere;" homeless pup meets family in need! What a miracle indeed, and most certainly fate that you would find your way to one another. And, as your human has said, the rest is happy history!

You're everything your heroic, noble, much loved breed is known for...incredible beauty AND brains, with an unmatched, unwavering devotion and loyalty to your family! And it's clear with your love for nurturing others (like your Daddy), including critters smaller than yourself (the kitties), that you also have the biggest of hearts! What a very special girl you are, Stella, truly a treasure, and so very deserving of the title, Dog of the Day! What a lucky family is yours, sweetheart!
