Meet Stromboli, my new Betta fish!

I've been at college for about two weeks, and I LOVE it here. My roommate is awesome, my room is awesome, and my classes are awesome.

I had a plant (Hank the Green) coming into move-in day, but once we got all settled we decided that we kind of really wanted a fish.

Thursday morning we trekked to Meijer to look at their fish (I'm slowly getting used to taking buses). We got there and practically ALL of the Betta fish were dead, which was sad. We spotted one tiny one that was still swimming around, so we decided to bring him home. The trip back was interesting...took a bus then walked 1/2 mile to our dorm. SO many judging looks!

But anyways...meet Stromboli, our newest addition!

He's SO CUTE! He comes to the front of his bowl when someone walks by :p

Stromboli is a beauty! I have a red one too.;) Bettas are great!:D

He's doing so well in his new home, too! His fins were all crumpled when we brought him home but they're slowly poofing out (as he has room to move around now, I'd assume?) He's surprisingly active and social.

He spits out bubbles constantly, though. I think I read something about Betta fish making bubble nests?
