Prayers that she either comes out or home, or something!

I've torn the house apart looking for her. I've opened cans of tuna, food, shook treats. I don't think she got outside but I can't be sure. :(

I do have company over, however last time, Zam was all over them loving the attention they lavished. She's always been my social butterfly while Logan hides. But Logan is just lounging in the living room and Zam is nowhere to be found.

I spent a good part of the day yesterday cleaning and recall seeing her at 8pm but nothing after that.

I'm just sick with worry. :( :(

She's probably thinking, 'Best game of hide and seek, EVAR!'. *sigh*

Are there any vents or crawl spaces she might have gotten into?

Favorite hiding places of present and past kitties, hope this helps...
Behind pillows, completely out of sight; behind the speaker, under a table, with a large plant in front of it; under a ping pong table, in the center, on top of a pine box with blankets on it; behind the couch; closed inadvertently in the pantry or the closet; in the storage room behind..WHATEVER....

Zam - get out of one of those places and show yourself! Aren't you hungry?

Zam, come home!

Have you roamed the neighborhood calling her?

Other hiding places

under the bed and inside the box spring/foundation
inside a cabinet or closet sleeping.
In a box, accidentally closed?
Under furniture and the collar is caught on something.
Sometimes they can get into places and not know how to get out, especially if it is small.

Did you turn off music and TV looking for her?

Outside under bushes yours and neighbors

Sam, come home!

Paws and claws crossed for Zam's safe return. Check the neighbours' garages and tool sheds ... curious kitties can get locked up "accidentally". My childhood cat Sammy went missing for two days - in a neighbours garage - he was pretty miffed when the neighbour finally came home:rolleyes:. Keep us posted.

Hope Zam comes home, soon!
You probably have done this - but have you gone through and opened every door & cabinet, just as a precaution?

My Jingle Belle likes to hide in a cabinet that is "sticky" - so you'd think it wouldn't be able to be opened by her (since *I* have trouble opening it) but she manages to get into it somehow... Cats are weird.

Happy thoughts for Zam to show up safe!

lol! That's ok. I'm slower on my phone. Zam was outside when I got home & very eager to get inside. She was a little muddy, hungry, but no worse for wear. :) Thanks for all the positive vibes.

Oh thank God! Zam! Do not scare your meowmie like that again!

(Marbles does the same thing - she's a regular escape artist. But at least she knows her way home and will meow at my front door to be let back in.

Welcome home Zammie!

Thanks everyone! When I got home from work last night at 1am, I went straight to checking all the cabinets. I was double checking behind the water heater when my boyfriend called out for me excitedly. I went into the living room as he was coming out of the guest room where he was opening a window. He said, "I hear her outside!". We were both going for the front door and sure enough, Zam comes around from the side of the house, meowing her wee head off.

She ran indoors and Kia and Chipper instantly started smelling her and investigating. Zam went straight for the kitchen. lol! :p

I scooped her up and checked her over. Her legs and belly were muddy, so we cleaned her up (no real bath as she was traumatized enough as it was), and then gave her a can of food.

I'm not sure how far she wandered. She'd never been outside at my new place, so I wasn't sure if she did wander far if she'd know how to get back home. Plus we have a lot of dogs that wander loose (stray and pets) and I was worried one might go after her. My guess is she snuck out when I left for work Tues evening or at 4am when I had to go to the airport. It was when we got back from the airport at 9am Wed morning and she didn't greet us at the door that we realized something was wrong and started looking for her indoors.

I'm just so glad she's ok. :)
